The New England Local Economy Network (NELEN) was founded in the spring of 2008 as the New England Local Business Forum. The intention was to connect groups advocating for local and independent business in New England and to facilitate cooperative efforts to build a stronger regional economy.
NELEN has played a key role in bringing New England local business leaders together to get to know each other, share ideas, and initiate collaborative programs over the course of ten NELEN gatherings. New England is ripe for connecting a wider net of local business and community leaders who can envision and build a vibrant regional economy based on community-rooted businesses.
Update: April 9. 2015 Today we deployed a survey to gather feedback from interested people across New England to help guide the development of NELEN for 2015 and beyond. It takes just 3-5 minutes to offer your views and responses are welcome at any time this year. Thank you!
